La casa statunitense Bethesda Softworks è stata confermata quest’oggi come publisher ufficiale di WET, atteso action game in sviluppo presso gli studi A2M. Di seguito potete trovare anche il comunicato stampa.
Per chi non lo sapesse, ricordiamo che WET era uno di quei titoli destinati a finire nell’oblio dopo la fusione-acquisizione tra Vivendi ed Activision. Possiamo quindi tirare un bel sospiro di sollievo sapendo che ora sono i creatori di Fallout 3 e The Elder Scrolls ad aver preso in mano la situazione garantendo così l’uscita sicura di WET su Xbox 360 e PlayStation 3 entro questo autunno.

for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3Innovative Shooter Allows Gamers to “Shoot Anytime, Anywhere”
April 27, 2009 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, announced today that it will publish WETTM, an innovative action game from Artificial Mind and Movement (A2M). WET, in development for the Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system, is slated for a Fall 2009 release.
WET is a highly stylized third-person shooter that seamlessly blends acrobatics, gun play, and sword kills. With dual pistols and a samurai sword, you can engage in combat while sliding on floors, running on walls, jumping, flipping, and performing amazing acrobatic moves – leaving a massive body count in your wake.
“We’re very excited about the opportunity to bring WET to all gamers,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “Our proven success as a publisher which focuses on select, innovative titles matches up perfectly with WET’s new class of gameplay.”

WET puts you in the role of Rubi Malone, a gun-for-hire, who has expertise in wetworks – covert operations that get a little messy. As Rubi, you embark on a story full of double crosses and paybacks as you visit locations around the world. Featuring a mix of humor and violence, a unique retro film visual treatment, and an original 70’s-inspired music, WET is a third- person shooter experience unlike any other.
Voicing Rubi Malone is actress Eliza Dushku, star of Fox’s Sci-Fi thriller series “Dollhouse.” Dushku starred in the box office hit “Bring It On” and the television series “Tru Calling.” She is also well-known for her recurring roles on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel.”
